We're looking to recruit a Bridging Underwriter for a rapidly growing specialist lending firm; You will be responsible for assessing and underwriting bridging applications from brokers, direct applicants and intermediaries in line with lending policy and risk appetite. Your duties will include:
We're looking to recruit a Bridging Underwriter for a rapidly growing specialist lending firm; You will be responsible for assessing and underwriting bridging applications from brokers, direct applicants and intermediaries in line with lending policy and risk appetite. Your duties will include:
- Managing your own pipeline of cases from loan application to completion;
- Assess and resolve risk-related issues with applications;
- Assess full case documentation including credit reports and KYC documentation to ensure AML policy and lending policy are adhered to;
- Review valuation reports and make an assessment as to suitability of the security property for short-term lending along with a full assessment of LTV with a rationale for the same;
- Approve and reject applications in line with policy, referring to Compliance and/or Senior Leadership where appropriate;
- Produce a high quality and articulate loan synopsis for each case, presenting a clear rationale for proceeding with the loan;
- Communicate with all relevant parties throughout the loan application, building professional relationships with them.
